    Types of Massage Therapy

Experience Results. My massage therapy is customized to each person; no two people will have the same experience. The following types of massage therapy can be combined to create a peaceful, healing experience for you. From fully clothed to minimal sports draping, I am all about you, the clients comfort and security. Pricing for massages starts at $100/hour; I specialize in multiple hour sessions up to and beyond 3 hours.

    • Aromatherapy - Massage therapy using massage oil that contains essential oils (highly concentrated plant oils). During an aromatherapy massage, you inhale these essential oil molecules or absorb them through your skin. They are thought to promote beneficial changes in your mind and body by affecting the limbic system, a region of the brain known to be involved in emotion.

    • Neuromuscular Deep Tissue -  a form of soft tissue manipulation that aims to treat underlying causes of chronic pain involving the muscular and nervous systems. This medically-oriented form of massage addresses trigger points (tender muscles points), circulation, nerve compression, postural issues, and bio-mechanical problems that can be caused by repetitive movement injuries.

    • Reflexology - a type of massage that involves applying different amounts of pressure to the feet, hands, and ears. It's based on a theory that these body parts are connected to certain organs and body systems.

    • Myofascial Release - a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion

    • Ashiatsu Massage - BareFoot Therapy, is a barefoot massage technique in which the therapist delivers deep, broad, consistent pressure while utilizing their feet and body weight. Parallel bars are used above the massage table for balance, support and client safety

    • Deep Tissue - deep tissue massage involves applying firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles)

    • Abhyanga - ("oil massage") is a form of Ayurvedic medicine that involves massage of the body with dosha-specific warm herb infused oils. The oil is usually pre-mixed with herbs for specific conditions. Abhyanga may be performed by one or more therapists working in sync, but it can also be done by oneself.

    • Sports Massage -  help with muscle systems used for a particular sportsports massage uses a variety of approaches to help athletes in training -- before, during, or after sports events

    • Lomi Lomi - traditional Hawaiian massage that uses a combination of massage techniques, nut oils, and sometimes elements of prayer, breathing and dance to restore energy and soothe the body. It is also known as the 'loving hands' massage

    • Lymphatic Drainage - a form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body

    • Dry-Brushing - a popular therapeutic service that consists of a licensed massage therapist brushing a dry brush on the skin in circular motions or light strokes to provide exfoliation and a rejuvenating boost of energy! The brush is made up of coarse bristles, but don’t worry, this process of brushing the skin is pain-free and has many therapeutic benefits.

    • Thai Yoga Stretching - an age-old technique that is being discovered by many people as an effective and comfortable way to get the necessary stretching that we all need. Sometimes called yoga massage, assisted yoga, total body stretch and assorted other names, Thai yoga massage uses passive-assisted stretching, where therapists assist recipients to move into their stretch

    • Prenatal & Postnatal

    • Touch to Inform - a form of the Feldenkrais Method to work on TMJ & facial musculature issues

    • Reiki -  Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.

    • Usui Reiki - Usui System of Natural Healing, is a Japanese Healing Art. This form was founded in Japan and the basis of the practice is referred to as self healing/self treatment

    • Karuna Reiki - Karuna Reiki means “an action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others,” it can also be defined as the Reiki of Compassion.
